Since March 4, 2024, it has been confirmed that a new rebooted series of the original television series, will be broadcasted by Fox Network with showrunner Lara Olsen along with the show's original creators overseeing its development.
According to several reports, the official description will read: "Daring ocean rescues, pristine beaches, and iconic red bathing suits are back, along with a whole new generation of Baywatch lifeguards, who navigate complicated, messy personal lives in this action-packed reboot that demonstrates there's the family you're born into and the family you find."
As of this time, the airdate for the start of the series is unknown and the cast and characters have not been revealed. There are also rumors that some of the original cast members may return.
