The Baywatch Black Rookie Bikini is an article of clothing worn by the female Rookie Lifeguards during Rookie School.
The creation of the outfit[]
During Season 11 (also known as Season 2 of Baywatch Hawaii), the rookie outfit changed from the black TYR suits to a new black cropped bikini. It made its debut during the very first episode of season 11 with the introduction of the training centers new rookies – one of which was Carrie Sharp, though all the rookies also wear this style of bikini too.
This was a two-piece suit with a fairly standard design. It consisted of a black cropped bikini top with red straps and red paneling down either side with the Baywatch logo across the front – this time written in yellow and black bikini bottoms with yellow embroidered lines.
Although introduced as a rookie outfit, the suit was also used by Kekoa Tanaka as an off duty / workout suit to replace the floral rash guards of the previous season. She wore this in a handful of episodes across Season 11 and during the movie Baywatch: Hawaiian Wedding.
