The Baywatch Hawaii Black Rash Guard is an article of clothing worn by both the male and female Baywatch Hawaii Lifeguards during the trainee period at the Hawaiian Lifeguard Training Centre.
The creation of the rash guard[]
During Season 11 (also known as Season 2 of Baywatch Hawaii), the rookies wore a new outfit - a black long sleeve rash guard.
The colour scheme was identical to the Baywatch Black Rookie Bikini, however it was only worn by the trainees during training and was not considered an off duty suit. It also also had similarities with the Baywatch Hawaii Floral Rash Guard (seen in the previous season - season 10).
This new black rash guard was unique in many ways:
- It was unisex, so was worn by both the male and female trainees.
- The males had a long sleeve t-shirt style top whilst the females had a cropped top variant.
- The males wore matching swimming trunks following the same colour scheme as the rash guard top. However, these trunks were a lot tighter than the normal red on duty surf style shorts that are normally worn by the lifeguards.
- It was also worn as a one-piece suit.
- The females wore the same bikini bottoms as with the Baywatch Black Rookie Bikini.
