Hobie Buchannon is a character in Baywatch.
He is the son of Mitch Buchannon and his ex-wife Gayle, who enjoys surfing, looks up to his dad and often gets caught in unexpected circumstances.

- According to David Hasselhoff, the role of Hobie was almost given to Leonardo DiCaprio after Brandon Call left the series.
- Hobie was the second character to have more than one actor portrayal, the first being Gina Pomeroy.
- Hobie was named after famous surf and sailing entrepreneur and pioneer Hobart "Hobie" Alter who was also the founder of the famous Hobie company.
