A jealous Logan watches Caroline with Cody for lifeguard on-duty and off-duty work. Kaye Morgan recruits Hobie to volunteer at a school for the blind, but disaster strikes when a huge brushfire roars through Topanga Canyon, trapping Hobie and the kids between walls of flame and toxic smoke.

  • The original Ward La France engine of Station 51 can be seen in a short scene with Mitch Buchannon. The director of this episode Georg Fenady also directed many episodes of the 70s hit show Emergency!.
  • Mila Kunis makes her second guest appearance in the series.
  • Beverly Mitchell and Mila Kunis would later appear together in the comedy drama 7th Heaven.
