The Lifeguard Surfboard is a vital piece of equipment for the Baywatch lifeguards of Los Angeles County and Hawaii.

They are used in aiding lifeguards for making challenging rescues. They enabled the lifeguards to paddle out using less energy than swimming to a victim. The boards also enabled the victim to be paddled back to the beach again with far less energy than a conventional swim rescue.

They often stored on the top of a Lifeguard Jeep or sometimes near a Lifeguard Tower.

The surfboards were featured throughout all 11 seasons of Baywatch and came in a few designs.

  • The standard yellow board with the red Baywatch logo on the underside.
  • The standard yellow board with floral hibiscus pattern on the top (very similar colour scheme to the Baywatch Hawaii Floral Rash Guard).
  • A red board with the yellow Baywatch logo on the underside.
