Mellisande is a minor character in Baywatch.
Appearance[]
Mellisande was beautiful mermaid with long blonde hair, blue eyes, a pearl crown and a pink and purple fish's tail. She also occasionally had glitter on her face.
Personality[]
She had a kind heart and always holds on to her hopes and dreams such as her lover Christopher promising to be with her again some day.

Season 8[]
Not much is known about Mellisande except that she possibly lived a hundred years ago in the 19th century and met a sailor named Christopher whom she was deeply devoted to. He gave her a locket with his picture in it and promised her that he would see her again someday.
In the present 20th century, Cody, during a deep dive saw her from the corner of his eye, and he kept thinking about her.
Some other lifeguards thought he was crazy and tried to convince him that mermaids were not real, but C.J. firmly believed they existed. One time when Cody was sleeping on the beach, Mellisande communicated with him through telepathy and made him see how the two of them swam and kissed underwater.
Cody and C.J. then go to dive again in the same spot where he met Mellisande for the first time. Cody went under alone just in case C.J. would scare her.

Mellisande and Cody did meet for real this time, but Mellisande thought him to be her lost lover Christopher because of the strong resemblance. While Cody was underwater without an air supply, Mellisande gave him air, but C.J. got worried and jumped in herself scaring her away.
Mellisande returned only to see them kissing on the boat, and felt betrayed, since she still thought him to be Christopher. When C.J. dived in to see the mermaid for herself and got knocked out by accident, Mellisande then helped her on the surface and left her locket with her. Cody and C.J. saw Christopher's picture in the locket, and were amazed by the resemblance.
They decided to toss the locket back into the water to keep her secret safe from the world after remembering what happened to another mermaid named Madison in the movie Splash. Mellisande returned and retrieved it, still hoping to meet Christopher again someday.
Trivia[]
After making several uncredited appearances as an extra, this was Marliece's first main role in the series before playing lifeguard Sky Bergman in Season 8.
