Senior Lifeguard Michael "Newmie" Newman is a character in Baywatch.
Physical Appearance[]
Tall, muscular and bodes a moustache. He's physically fit, and about the same height as Mitch Buchannon.
Personality[]
Newmie is the strong longest serving member of the lifeguard team who is always quick to spring into action when someone's life is hanging in the balance. He's very laid back, and is somewhat of a ladies man. He and Mitch often double date or compete for women.

Newman is promoted to a series regular for the first time. He appears in the opening credits He spends most of the season as a veteran life guard, often working with with Mitch Buchanan as well as being best friends with Cody Madison.
